Ben and Daniela's Butterfly Chuppah

The blue morpho butterfly lives in the rainforests of Costa Rica, where Daniela and Ben have lived and worked.  The butterfly, which flashes bright blue in the dark green jungle, gives them a sense of joy and freedom. The words are from a love poem by Pablo Neruda: Te amo sin saber come, ni quando, ni de donde: te amo directamente, sin problemas ni orgullo. Asi te amo, porque no se amar de otra manera. (I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride. That is how I love you, because I do not know how to love in any other way.) This chuppah was made using batik, low water immersion dying, and silk-screening on cotton.
