Ben and Clara are professional musicians and avid whale watchers.  In this chuppah, two humpback whales circle each other, creating a bubble net in which to catch food.  Their dance recalls a yin and yang, and the five receding circles represent the lines on a staff, with gold notes rising toward the surface of the water.  This chuppah was created with batik, silkscreen and low water immersion dying.  Photos of the ceremony soon to come.
